It was almost 25 years ago that we purchased a birthday party for our young daughter at a charity event that would be held at the newly opened Headquarters of the Beverly Hills Fire Department. I met the then President of the BH Firefighters' Association Ed Snyder who handled all the details. That was the beginning of an up close and personal friendship between the BHFA and the Briskman Family. That young daughter just turned 28 and our family has supported the Association ever since in every way. There is no finer department and I can say that because in my role as an elected official I traveled all around the country for the City and heard everywhere I went about how special the reputation of our city's Public Safety family is. The Beverly Hills Fire Department is one of the BEST reasons to live in Beverly Hills!

Promoting Beverly Hills as the world-class destination that it is, is made easier thanks to the dedication and service of our city’s firefighters. Our residents and visitors are incredibly fortunate to have the Beverly Hills Firefighters' Association serving our community.

To say these men and women go beyond the call of duty would be an understatement. The firefighters of the Beverly Hills Firefighters' Association are great supporters of our community. They have been active with Beverly Hills Chamber of Commerce since the late 1970s. They can regularly be seen at any number of community events – whether it be demonstrating fire equipment or providing fire safety tips to the businesses and residents to helping raise funds for our schools. True heroes!

Her are some pictures of our family at the fire station, as well as one of the Fire-women I was referring too. She (Engineer Melissa Hillis) was wonderful, friendly, informative and very made us feel welcome!
Thank you for opening the station to the public and residence of BH.
Warmest regards
Nikita Putnam
We hope you and everyone at the Beverly Hills Fire Department had a great Holiday. I wish to thank: Engine 2 Capt. Andrews, Firefighters Eccles, Pinson, Versteeg and Rescue 801 Capt. Signorio and Firefighter Bernardinelli for helping me on the occasion of my accident. The Beverly Hills Fire Department treated me with the utmost care and a keen understanding of my wounds. Our most sincere wish is for all of you to have a safe and healthy 2012."
Sincerely,

I cannot believe you guys postponed your salary increases for the purpose of avoiding extended furloughs for the rest of us; especially considering that your group would not be affected by it. That is incredibly thoughtful of you. You guys are awesome!!!

I have had a long term affiliation for many years with the Beverly Hills Firemen's Association and all of their firefighters. Any time we have reached out to them for staff fire and safety training, or to educate school children by bringing over truck and doing demonstrations, to responding in less than a few minutes to any emergency calls for our customers - they are the best of the best! A world class City has a world class fire department. BHFA supports the community, they are professional, patient, courteous, get to point and take care of business.

I had the pleasure of meeting the firefighters of the BHFA while visiting the station with TEAM BEVERLY HILLS. It was an experience that showed me how lucky we were to be a part of this community. Not only were the firefighters knowledgable, but they were extremely passionate about our fire department and the people of Beverly Hills. They were also kind enough to give my 3 year old daughter a tour of the station. WOW! From the fire gear to the spraying of the hose, BHFA is now a hot topic at dinner conversation. So thank you to the BHFA for keeping us all safe!

I have proudly been associated with the Beverly Hills Firefighters' Association for the past 19 years. Every year I become prouder and prouder of these exceptional men and women who give so much back to our community. Does our community know how many times that our Firefighters come back to our town on their days off to assist many of our local organizations? How may hot dogs do you think they have cooked for our Little Leaguers. How many times have your seen our Fire Fighters at our school sponsor events Does this community also know that our Firefighters donate thousands and thousands of their dollars to our local chairites . . Talk about first responders! The BHFA are first responders to all causes, to all needs and especially to the health and safety of all residents. I hope our residents will celebrate with us at our 20th Anniversary Back Draft Ball in June 2012.

Beverly Hills Firefighters are the best! Professional and dedicated to our safety and our community. I have met many of the BHFD through many years in the City and recently through the Beverly Hills 9/11 Memorial Garden project. Each and every BH firefighter deserves our total support.

The Beverly Hills Firefighters are an unusual group of people: not only do they do a fantastic job, but they are an intricate part of our community. Yes, we really do have a 3-4 minute response time and when they arrive, they are professional and extremely helpful and comforting. They have come to my house 3 times in the 29 years I have lived here. The paramedics have also been summoned 2 times. Both times were frightening situations and they put me at ease and did a wonderful job. I cannot imagine that anyone could treat us better than they do.
I would also like to say that they are so helpful in participating with our schools and other community projects. It is a friendship we all have, not just a job to them!
Through the Donald Reynolds Beverly Hills Firefighters Scholarship Fund I have gotten to know more of the firefighters and their families. Their children are amazing and obviously the product of great parenting. I would be proud to have any of them as my son or daughter.
Most Sincerely,
Jeanne Schnitzer Reynolds

Beverly Hills firefighters are charged with the preservation of life and property, but their actions extend far beyond the requirements of the job. The men and women of BHFA are regularly and voluntarily out and about in the community, supporting a myriad of organizations including the Maple Counseling Center, the Beverly Hills Education Foundation and the Roxbury Senior Center. They do our city proud!
